Between college productions and the many local theatres on Long Island, it may seem there is always a production of the Kander and Ebb classic Cabaret running. Excellently directed by Evan Pappas, who also serves as the theatre's Arttistic Director, and Sara Brians, who also serves as Choreographer, this superb incarnation of the Tony winning musical runs at the adorable Babylon venue through October 24th boasting a stellar cast.

Long Island's newest year-round professional theatrical venue, The Argyle Theatre will present the hit Broadway musical Cabaret with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Joe Masteroff, based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.

Long Island's newest year-round professional theatrical venue, The Argyle Theatre (Mark and Dylan Perlman, Managing Partners; Evan Pappas, Artistic Director), will present the hit Broadway musical Cabaret with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Joe Masteroff, based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood. Performances begin Thursday, March 12, 2020 for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, April 19, 2020 at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island). Opening Night is Saturday evening, March 14, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. Cabaret is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

The John W. Engeman Theater presents MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. Performances began on Thursday, January 16 and run through Sunday, March 1, 2020.

Opening on Wednesday, May 22 and running through June 16, Ivoryton Playhouse presents the beautiful and uplifting musical, GODSPELL.  GODSPELL began as John Michael Tebelak's master thesis at Carnegie Mellon University with lyrics taken directly from the Episcopal Hymnal. Stephen Schwartz, also from Carnegie Mellon, was hired to write a new score, adding original songs to the modernized hymns.

Loar, who wrote the music and lyrics, and co-wrote the book with her late husband Robert Atwood, calls the show “a family-friendly fractured rock fairy tale.” SPOOLIE GIRL is a suddenly orphaned eco-friendly teenager from Kenya who comes to New York City. Wearing magical curlers called “spoolies” in her hair, she is able to read people's thoughts as songs, while navigating a world consisting of her narcissistic, fashionista Aunt, a Fairy Godmother (but way hipper), and a quirky neighbor who walks an invisible dog. And that's her support group. Along with Loar, the cast features Loar, Claire Lilley, and Michiko Sasaki.
