Hayes Theatre Co will present Jekyll & Hyde later this year. Directed by globally renowned performer Hayden Tee, and brought to life by a cast of 14 actors and actor/musicians, this epic struggle between good and evil will have its Australian professional premiere production at Hayes Theatre Co from 29 July with tickets on sale now.

CLUB44 RECORDS has announced the new album Carol Sloane, Live at Birdland, which is available on streaming platforms and on CD in stores and online today, Friday, April 8. This release marks the veteran vocalist’s 60th anniversary as a recording artist, and her first album in over a decade. Ogunquit Playhouse is growing its educational initiatives by launching the Arts Academy. Already an integral component of the Playhouse's mission, the educational initiatives currently in place will be greatly expanded to build upon the legacy left by founder Walter Hartwig, a strong proponent of community theater with a passion for teaching theater craft to aspiring professionals.

Roald Dahl’s CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY - The New Musical, currently playing at Austin’s Bass Concert Hall as part of the Broadway In Austin series, is fantastic fun for the whole family.

The touring production of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and The Chocolate Factory seems an unlikely place to find  inspiration in reconciling the events of the world’s political stage, but when viewed in the context of the current sociopolitical climate, it seems possible. The lyrics of the song “Pure Imagination” appear to map out the catalyst for social change. “If you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it. Anything you want to, do it. Want to change the world? There’s nothing to it.”   The simplicity of that philosophy in song was written over the course of  a phone conversation between the composers Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley over 50 years ago. 

As part of its Broadway Series sponsored by U.S. Bank, Alberta Bair Theater presents the everlasting showstopper Roald Dahl's Charlie and The Chocolate Factory on Wednesday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m.

The Whole Backstage Theatre will present Willy Wonka, Jr. this summer. The musical features words and music by  Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, and is adapted for the stage by Leslie Bricusse and Timothy A. McDonald, based on the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
