Washington Stage Guild to Present MEMOIRS OF A FORGOTTEN MAN

The Washington Stage Guild will conclude its 2021-2022 season with Memoirs of a Forgotten Man by D.W. Gregory. The play, which had its world premiere at The Contemporary American Theatre Festival in 2018, takes place in the Stalinist Soviet Union, where a man’s inability to forget those whom the government has “erased” becomes increasingly problematic for him and his family.
Orpheus Chamber Orchestra Returns to the Morris Museum

In the spring of 2020 when the pandemic took hold and concert venues were closing their doors, the Morris Museum opened its parking lot. Curatorial Director, Brett Wellman Messenger, took a tape measure and chalk and drew 119 blocks, 8ft square each and a new outdoor performance venue was born.

Cygnet Theatre announces the postponement of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 by Dave Malloy, which was scheduled as the theatre's last production of Season 18. The show was scheduled to run from July 13 – August 21, 2022 and will be moved to a future season which will be announced at a later date. The musical is adapted from War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy and takes place in Moscow during the 1812 French invasion of Russia. The change comes as a result of the intensifying Russia-Ukraine conflict.
