During the 2020 Grammy Awards, in a tribute to longtime GRAMMY executive producer Ken Ehrlich, and to acknowledge the importance of music education in schools to the Recording Academy, GRAMMY Museum and Ehrlich, artists performed 'I Sing The Body Electric' from the film Fame. The performance featured Ben Platt, Camila Cabello, Gary Clark Jr. and John Legend, Debbie Allen, Joshua Bell, Common, Misty Copeland, Lang Lang, Cyndi Lauper, and The War And Treaty.

Final Round Of Performers Added To 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards Lineup

The Recording Academy® has confirmed the final slate of performers for the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards®. Previously announced Gary Clark Jr., will be joined by The Roots to perform Clark's GRAMMY-nominated song 'This Land.' Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Trombone Shorty will unite to honor those we have lost this year in a touching In Memoriam piece. And, Sheila E. will take the stage with Usher for an exciting GRAMMY Salute to Prince. Live from STAPLES Center, and hosted by Alicia Keys, the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network, Sunday, Jan. 26at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.

In keeping with the tradition of presenting signature 'GRAMMY® Moments,' the Recording Academy® has announced two special segments to take place on the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards®. The first, 'Old Town Road All-Stars,' will feature current nominees Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus joined by BTS, Diplo, Mason Ramsey, and other surprise guests. Over the past year, 'Old Town Road' has been the subject of numerous mixes and mashups, which inspired bringing together a number of acts who have performed it, making it a one-of-a-kind performance.

Pianist Haochen Zhang will make his debut with the New York Philharmonic on January 28, 2020 at 7:30 PM in its Lunar New Year Concert and Gala, conducted by Maestro Long Yu. Shanghai-born Zhang launched into the international spotlight in 2009 after becoming one of the youngest Van Cliburn International Piano Competition gold medalists and has since also been awarded a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2017.

A total of HK$3.4 million was raised at the Dinner in supporting the future development of the HK Phil.

Grammy-Award-winning artist Gary Clark Jr.releases a brand new version of “Pearl Cadillac” from his current Warner Records album, THIS LAND. The new mix single features additional vocals by fellow Warner artist and Grammy nominee Andra Day. Clark and Day became friends years ago after playing shows together. Both share a musical commonality which incorporates their disparate influences of soul, pop, blues, gospel and rock 'n' roll propelled by a strong positive energy which becomes something both new yet timeless. Once introduced into Clark's live set, “Pearl Cadillac” quickly became a fan-favorite sometimes stretching into seven or eight minutes long. The song made its TV debut on SNL in February. This morning, The Recording Academy announced that Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's recording of Bruckner's Symphony No. 9 were nominated for three Grammy Awards. This marks the third consecutive year the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Honeck have been nominated. On Nov. 18, the Museum will kick off the opening of the new Latin music exhibit and its new third floor with a full day of programming, including an education program for students, live performances, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Gabriel Abaroa Jr., President/CEO of The Latin Recording Academy® and Michael Sticka, President of the GRAMMY Museum, along with prestigious Latin artists and personalities. The evening event is free, including entry to the Museum, and is open to the public on a special first-come, first-served basis. The exhibit will run through spring 2020.

Lang Lang International Music Foundation Young Scholar Applications Now Open

The Lang Lang International Music Foundation is currently accepting applications for their Young Scholars Program. The Young Scholars program is a music education initiative designed to identify and support talented young pianists in their professional development. Every two years, Lang Lang and his teacher Gary Graffman, select a limited number of exceptionally talented young pianists from the United States to join the program. The selected scholars receive mentorship, tutelage, unique performance opportunities, and become part of the Lang Lang Young Scholars Network. As a Scholar, students participate in masterclasses from some of the most prominent teachers around the world, and perform on internationally renowned stages.
