This month, 54 BELOW will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club and 2022 Tony Awards® Honoree for Excellence in the Theatre, has announced special programming throughout the month of June. From Clint Holmes’ dazzling tribute to Peter Allen to the return engagement of Jenn Colella’s sold out show to Rebecca Clark’s uncanny Barbra Streisand concert, the PRIDE month events will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

Paramount+ has released the trailer for its upcoming original kids and family movie musical BLUE’S BIG CITY ADVENTURE. The film stars Aladdin's Joshua Dela Cruz and also features special star appearances by BD Wong, Ali Stroker, Taboo, Alex Winter, Phillipa Soo and Steven Pasquale. Tony Award-winner Beth Leavel, Joshua Dela Cruz, and Ali Ewoldt, will be featured in 20 & UNDER SING 20 & OVER: ACT II, a virtual benefit concert celebrating Broadway musicals, written at least 20 years ago, by having young rising stars (ages 20 and under) pair up with Broadway stars from the Broadway or touring company of each show they are singing from.

Broadway Barkada today announced the release of a music video honoring essential workers and first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic. In conjunction, they have started up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for one of their favorite small businesses, Jeepney, a Filipino restaurant in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Joshua Dela Cruz (Aladdin and host of 'Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues') and Amanda Dela Cruz ('The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel') have recorded a cover of the song 'Come Up for Air' (along with a video) from the new musical Ranked with book by Kyle Holmes and music and lyrics by David Taylor Gomes. 

Just last spring, Sierra Boggess and Joshua Dela Cruz  led a staged reading of Richard Maltby, Jr., Karen Hartman, and David Shire's DANCERS AT A WATERFALL. Now, the two are reuniting to sing a song from the new musical. Boggess writes: 'This song expresses both lyrically and musically what is in our souls right now. Therefore, we wanted to debut this song in this way for all to hear too.'

Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues has found a new pal for Blue in TV newcomer and Broadway actor Joshua Dela Cruz, and a brand-new title: Blue's Clues & You. Dela Cruz will have a new generation of preschoolers searching for clues with the beloved energetic girl puppy Blue. Production on Blue's Clues & You will commence this month in Toronto.

Caswell, Jr. will be staged as a one night only conceptual reading at Dixon Place tonight, September 2nd, at 7:30PM, and will feature performances by Molly Pope (A Star is Born), Amanda Duarte (Dead Darlings), Adam Enright (2Scoops), James Jackson (The Black-Ups), Joshua Cruz (Wig Out), and Emily Pintel (Dream of the Red Chamber).

Presented by The New York Musical Festival, Jorge de la Garza and German Cavazos, CHILDREN OF SALT is the first Official Selection of the New York Musical Festival from Mexico, CHILDREN OF SALT by Jaime Lozano and Lauren Epsenhart. The musical is directed by Jose Zayas, musical direction by Geraldine Anello with choreography Stephanie Klemons (Associate Choreographer: Hamilton). Adam Jacobs, Don Darryl Rivera, and Joshua Dela Cruz, current cast members of the Broadway smash musical Disney's ALADDIN, are joining the cast of Broadway Barkada's tribute concert to Tony Award-winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty titled 'Make Them Hear You: The Songs of Ahrens & Flaherty' on Sunday, July 24, 7 p.m. at the Cutting Room (44 East 32nd St., between Park and Madison).

'Grind', the independent musical short film starring Anthony Rapp (RENT), Claire Coffee (NBC's Grimm) and Pasha Pellosie (The Carrie Diaries, Law and Order: SVU), just released its first trailer. Check it out below!

The producers of 'Grind' have announced Pasha Pellosie has joined the project as their final lead, Thane. A relative newcomer, Pasha has been on The Carrie Diaries and Law and Order: SVU. He joins previously announced Anthony Rapp (RENT) and Claire Coffee (NBC's Grimm) in this independent musical short film.

Following eighteen sold out shows, the hit cabaret series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED, will continue for an nineteenth installment, Sunday, October 30 at 7pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Sondheim Unplugged is currently celebrating the second year of it's smash run, having begun this journey of celebrating Sondheim in July of 2010. The series will close, following an unprecedented 17 month run, with it's 20th performance on Monday, November 28 @ 7pm.

Theatreworks USA, the not-for-profit professional theatre for family audiences, is right now featuring their summer production - the world premiere of the new Latin-themed children's musical THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD. THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD began performances on Tuesday, July 19, 2010 at Off-Broadway's Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher St.) and continues through Friday, August 19.
