The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) announced that applications for the 2020 YoungArts competition will be accepted beginning today, June 4, through October 11, 2019 at youngarts.org/apply. Approximately 700 of the country's most accomplished 15- to 18-year-old artists will be selected through a blind adjudication process and provided with lifelong support through funding, mentorship, community, and creative and professional development opportunities.

Joshua Turchin will return to The Green Room 42 with his cabaret series, 'The Early Night Show with Joshua Turchin,' June 14, 2019 at 7pm. Turchin previously performed several successful shows, 'The Early Night Show at The Green Room' and the 'West End Lounge,' and regularly music directs and accompanies at The Green Room 42's (YOUNG) cabaret series. Special guests from Broadway, television and film will join Turchin on stage.

On The Quays announces special guests for "50 Years of DIVAS," the fifth installment of the #howaboutlove concert series at The Green Room 42 on Sunday, June 23 at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. The starry all-female lineup is set for the next concert in the year-long Broadway Sings spinoff series, Broadway Sings: Unplugged. On May 20 at 7pm and 9:30pm, The Green Room 42 will present Rihanna: Unplugged, featuring original "unplugged" arrangements of the pop star's hits, orchestrated for an acoustic band.

Multi-platinum recording artist Jackie Evancho will perform with the Conejo Arts Pop Orchestra at the Fred Kavli Theatre on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public May 16 at noon.

The coffeehouse meets the cabaret in 'Poetry/Cabaret: PROUD' at The Green Room 42. Join curator and host Thomas March (Aftermath) and a cast of poets, comedians, and singers as they celebrate Pride month-and explore all of the reasons we have to be PROUD. 'Poetry/Cabaret' is a quarterly variety show that brings together poets and performers in an evening of wild variations on a theme.

Back in Manila from his two-year stint as Thuy in the UK/Ireland and International tour of 'Miss Saigon,' Gerald Santos is now a certified crossover artist. In his homecoming concert last Saturday, May 4, at the Theatre at Solaire, Santos filled his repertoire with songs from musical theater and from movie musicals that have also crossed over to the pop charts.

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) congratulates the 55th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, with special acknowledgement to the 20 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts who are YoungArts winners. The U.S. Presidential Scholars award one of the nation's highest honors for high school students who exemplify academic excellence is presented on behalf of the President of the United States and honors up to 161 graduating high school seniors of high potential each year. The U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts (full list below) were nominated by YoungArts to The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars and selected based on academic and artistic excellence, leadership qualities and community service. For students who would like to be considered for this outstanding honor in the future, the YoungArts application opens on June 4, 2019 at youngarts.org/apply.

 This past weekend, multi-platinum award-winning singer, songwriter, global superstar and philanthropist, Josh Groban hosted his fourth annual Find Your Light Gala at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, CA where stars joined together for a night of cocktails, dinner, auction, and performances by top musical artists. The event raised over $1.4 Million dollars to help provide arts education to children around the country. 

The buzzed-about duet debuts May 31th and is the third single off Mann's new LP, NOISE!  The combined voices blend and soar with cascading harmonies and stratospheric melodies co-written by Mann, Tiffany Vartanyan (Demi Lovato), Rune Westberg (Colbie Caillat), and Deanna Walker (Brandy Clark).
