Good morning BroadwayWorld! Today's top stories: Be More Chill officially opens tonight off-Broadway, and more!

West Virginia Public Theatre (WVPT) brings another piece of Broadway to North-Central West Virginia: Directed by Jen Coles, The Last Five Years is an intimate, funny, and devastatingly honest examination of life and love. The musical opens on Friday, September 7 at 8pm, with additional shows on September 8, 13-15 at 8pm and a matinee on September 9 at 2pm. All performances will take place at the Tanner Theatre at Monongalia Arts Center (MAC).

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, it was recently announced that composer Jason Robert Brown and Broadway and TV star Jeremy Jordan will team up for a performance at SubCulture NYC on September 17th!

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present 'More About The Melody,' hosted by Broadway cellist Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf. The one-night-only event took place on Monday, August 6.

The acoustics of Birdland, usually employed to perfectly show off the music coming from some of the finest Jazz musicians in the world was also up to the task of accurately accommodating the elegant sounds from the cello and artistry of Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf. Composer Jason Robert Brown, best known for The Last Five Years and The Bridges of Madison County, will be workshopping a new musical called The Connector at Princeton University this fall.

Six of Broadway's most sought-after stars will join Mark Cortale's "Broadway @ The Art House" and "Broadway @ Town Hall" concert series in Provincetown in August.

The second act of Disney's 'Newsies' opens with a show-stopping number titled 'King of New York,' in which the Newsies celebrate their newfound celebrity in the press. Jeremy Jordan has begun to move his schedule to make way for his upcoming return to Broadway! As previously announced, Jordan will join previously announced stars Kerry Washington, Steven Pasquale and Eugene Lee in the Broadway premiere of American Son.

Broadway's Corey Cott (Bandstand) and Hannah Elless (Bright Star) star in two newly released music videos from the new musical Rebel/Genius. With book, music and lyrics by Peabody Award-winning composer Matthew Puckett, Rebel/Genius is inspired by the early life of scientific genius, Albert Einstein. Cott and Elless perform 'Faster' and 'What Love Looks Like,' singing the roles of Einstein and his first wife Mileva Mari?, respectively.
