Lincoln Center's off-campus Boro-Linc program for families and children will expand to Manhattan, starting in 2016. With this new partner, and another in Brooklyn later this year, Lincoln Center realizes its commitment to host the program in communities across all five boroughs of New York City. Through Boro-Linc, Lincoln Center partners with local arts and community centers around the city to present free performances, workshops, and family-oriented programs by Lincoln Center resident organizations in neighborhoods, working to break down geographic barriers and create greater access to its diverse arts and cultural offerings for all audiences and ages. Schafer, chairman of the New York Philharmonic. This first-ever collaboration brings together two world-class, award-winning firms -- collectively, they bring extensive experience designing innovative public spaces and specialized expertise in the design and execution of world-renowned performing arts halls. Lincoln Center, the world's largest performing arts center, announces upcoming dates and details for Boro-Linc, a program that presents free family events from Lincoln Center's resident organizations to neighborhoods across New York City through partnerships with cultural and community organizations. The Boro-Linc initiative commenced last year with several Lincoln Center programs at the Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education in the Bronx, and continues this fall with a series in both Staten Island (Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden) and Queens (Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning).
