The Nobel Academy Member Kristina Lugn passed away the 9th of May this year. From 1997-2011 she was the Creative Leader of the Theater Brunnsgatan 4. Her daughter took over her role 2011. The 28th of May a concert 'Samtidsterapi/contemporary therapy' , The artists Helen Sjöholm, Tommy Körberg and Mira Eklund sings and Kalle Westerdahl, Figge Norling och Martina Montelius reads some of the poetry written by Kristina Lugn.

The new single 'En Ny Tid' is the first singel of Helen Sjöholm's upcoming album - her first solo album with newly written original material.

A song with accompanying video was released the 17th of May with about 50 Swedish artists and musicians. A song about not losing hope and enduring in these corona times. Some of the artists involved are Sarah Dawn Finer, Rennie Mirro, Helen Sjöholm, Jessica Andersson. Magnus Carlsson, Mariette and Joacim Cans.

Björn Ulveaus and Benny Andersson are famous for their musicals Chess, Mamma Mia and Kristina från Duvemåla. But they have made another musical, Hjälp Sökes (Assistans needed). The musical was written together with the late famous poet Kristina Lugn, one of the Noble Academy Member. Director was Lars Rudolfsson.

Summer 2020 is the premiere of the major venture Chess in Swedish at Helsingborg Arena. Loa Falkman and Gert Fylking have previously been featured as some of the show's big poster names. Now it is clear that Shirley Clamp is doing the female lead role as Florence.

The film A Music Story is something very rare as it is a Swedish musical film. It is not often a Swedish musical film is made, but this year, three musical films will run att the big screens all over Sweden. First out is Anders Widmarks A Music Story, which premieres on June 14, then comes Peter Joback's 'I come home again for Christmas' in November and at Christmas 'Part of my heart' based on Tomas Ledin's music will run. A magical movie year for any musical lover. Of these three films, I think A Music Story has the lowest budget, which occasionally is noticeable in the film but it doesn't really matter as it's a wonderful tribute to the music and really conveys the love of the music. The strength of this film is mainly in the newly written songs by Anders Widmark and some co-composers. A series of catchy pop songs, rap songs and the amazing Gravity as when I heard Helen Sjoholm sing it the first time in the film gave me shivers. Later in the film it is a duett between Helen and Victoria as well. Helen Sjoholm is one of Swedens most beloved musical artists and has a way of singing which really touches the heart. Most of the songs in the film made me think that this is a really good song, many with a positive and happy melody and feelgood. Songs I will continue to listen to.

In 1919 the women in Sweden got the right to vote in the Swedish parliament. Uppsala Stadsteater is celebrating this in the theatreyear 2019/2020.
