Last night was the opening night of The Prince of Egypt at London's Dominion Theatre.

Some might consider The Pirate Queen an odd choice for a producing debut, but Tom Gribby clearly has an affection for the material and no-one can question the credentials of the great Boublil and Schonberg - most notable for writing the book and score to Les Misérables and Miss Saigon.

Production photos have been released from the UK premiere charity gala performance of Boublil And Schönberg's 'The Pirate Queen' at the London Coliseum in aid of Leukaemia UK.

The Donmar Warehouse has announced that Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell will curate a series of intimate evenings of music and song performed in the iconic setting of the Donmar auditorium. Each cabaret evening will feature the best of musical theatre, with a programme of songs by Stephen Sondheim, Jason Robert Brown, Noël Coward and Lin-Manuel Miranda. From its early days as a rehearsal studio for the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, to the hugely successful Divas at the Donmar series in the early 2000s, the Donmar has presented outstanding musical talent over many years, and is delighted to continue this tradition with Donmar Lates.

Based on the real-life story of historical figure Grace O'Malley, an Irish Chieftain and notorious pirate, The Pirate Queen is an adventure chronicling the compelling, inspiring heroine who led an extraordinary life as a rogue, lover and mother in 16th-century Ireland. To protect her people and save her one true love, O'Malley must confront the one woman more powerful than her - her fierce rival, Queen Elizabeth I of England.

West End stars Earl Carpenter and Daniel Boys are the final stars to be cast in a star-studded charity gala performance of Boublil And Schönberg's 'The Pirate Queen' at the London Coliseum on Sunday 23 February. Proceeds are going to Leukaemia UK.

Several special guests joined FROG, DOG and CAT at the West End premiere of Oi Frog & Friends! this week at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, with Matt Henry, Hannah Waddingham, MC Grammar and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, as well as author Kes Gray and illustrator Jim Field, amongst those attending the brand new family show.
