Open Door have unveiled the graduating actors selected to be part of Open Door Elevate, a brand-new initiative now in it's third year, designed to help emerging talent from lower-income backgrounds as they enter the professional industry.

The Sundance Institute Science-in-Film initiative with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation celebrated this year's Feature Film Prize winner The Pod Generation directed by Sophie Barthes and the recipients of three artist grants for three projects in development at a reception following the Appetite for Construction panel at Filmmaker Lodge.

Complete casting has been announced as rehearsals commence for Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain as ‘Nora Helmer’ in Lloyd’s radical new production of Henrik Ibsen’s landmark drama A Doll’s House in a new version by Amy Herzog.

This limited 16-week engagement will begin preview performances Monday, February 13, 2023 ahead of a Thursday, March 9, 2023 opening night at the Hudson Theatre.

The best of British Theatre will continue to be screened at The Ridgefield Playhouse when it presents National Theatre in HD's Jack Absolute Flies Again on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 7pm. The evening is part of the FirstLight Home Care Classical Series.

On November 10th at 7pm and November 12th at 1 pm, The National Theatre's The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, starring Emilia Clarke, will be presented at Lark Theater.

This December will see more great stage performances broadcast to the big screen of The Ridgefield Playhouse.

After a virtual ceremony in 2020 and a pandemic-induced silence in 2021, The Stage Debut Awards have finally returned in all their glitz and glamour the day before the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Stage veterans and shooting starlets gathered to celebrate their debuts and, after a nationwide minute of silence at eight sharp, Susan Wokoma kicked off the festivities.

Brown Boys Swim is the winner of the Popcorn Writing Award 2022.  Written by Karim Khan (a recipient of Riz Ahmed’s Left Handed Films and Pillars Fund inaugural fellowship and an alumnus of the The North Wall’s ArtsLab programme), this lyrical coming-of-age tale looks at the pressures that surround young Muslim men today. 

The Jamie Lloyd Company's production of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, in a version by Anya Reiss directed by Jamie Lloyd has entered its final three weeks of performances, running until 10 September at Harold Pinter Theatre.
