Transport Group's BROADBEND, ARKANSAS Streaming Begins July 20

Transport Group has announced that the filmed performance of its world premiere musical Broadbend, Arkansas will be available for video streaming beginning Monday, July 20 for four weeks. An original cast recording will be released by Broadway Records later this month.

New work has always been a part of the company's DNA. Over the past eight years the company has further prioritized the support of new musicals and plays with music through its NEXT program: including commissions, workshops, the NEXT Festival, and of course world premieres. Transport Group Announces Denise Dickens as New Executive Director

Transport Group announced today that Denise Dickens, formerly of Abingdon Theatre Company, will join the company as its new executive director, replacing Lori Fineman, outgoing executive director. Dickens will join founding Artistic Director Jack Cummings III at the helm of the off-Broadway, award-winning, non-profit theatre company.

Transport Group has announced that the cast of its world premiere musical Broadbend, Arkansas will be Justin Cunningham (a?oeWhen They See Usa??) and Danyel Fulton. Broadbend, Arkansas, presented in association with the Public Theater, with libretto by Ellen Fitzhugh and Harrison David Rivers, and music and additional lyrics by Ted Shen, directed by OBIE-winning artistic director Jack Cummings III, begins performances Friday, October 25 at 7:30pm at at The Duke on 42nd Street in New 42nd Street Studios, 229 West 42nd Street. The opening is set for Sunday, November 10 at 7:30pm. Tickets are now on sale.
Patrick Street Productions Presents HERRINGBONE

An Off Broadway hit, Herringbone is a musical cabaret that is a fun-house ride of farce and fear. It is a one-person show in which the actor plays 12 characters including an 8-year old boy, a floozie and a homicidal tap-dancing who tap dances. Taking a unique approach, Peter Jorgensen and Luisa Jojic will perform this tour de force role on alternating nights, each bringing their own perspective and interpretation to the play and all the characters.
