Michael Butler, famed producer of the musical Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, passed peacefully November 7, 2022 at the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging in Reseda, CA.  He was born November 26, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois.

New York Theatre Barn will present its final Choreography Lab of 2022, the Open Lab, on Monday, November 14th, 2022 at 7 PM EDT. This lab will be a virtual hybrid presentation and will highlight three emerging choreographers creating movement at the intersection of theatre and film. Vintage Theatre presents the Regional Premiere of “DOT,” November 11 through December 18 at 1468 Dayton St. in Aurora.  Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and Monday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m.

The Village, A Disco Musical! is extending its hit engagement at Dixon Place after its first week of sell-out performances. Originally scheduled to run through Saturday, October 15, the production will add performances on Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22 at 7:30 PM.

Dixon Place will present The Village, A Disco Musical! for a limited run engagement opening tonight – Thursday, October 6 – and running through Saturday, October 15. A meta musical comedy filled with high jinx, low kinks, and go-go boys, the show features a cast of ten diverse actors and dancers. 

The musical was conceived to give voice and tell the stories of women who broke prejudices, conquered machismo and opened the doors to the future of humanity. More than a show, Elas Brilham - Vozes que Iluminam e Transformam o Mundo – DOC.MUSICAL intends to celebrate women and open a space for speech, which is so necessary, for them.
