BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Tony award-winning Broadway set and costume designer Franne Lee, best known for her work on Hal Prince's Sweeney Todd and Candide, has passed away. She was 81.

These live dates follow the recent release of remixes of Depeche Mode’s “Wagging Tongue,” taken from their latest album Memento Mori, Brooklyn up-and-comers Nation Of Language’s track “Weak In Your Light.”, as well as a reworking (‘Interpolation’) of Interpol track “Greenwich.”

ENTELECHY was written during what Bell refers to as a ‘breakdown on the forest floor’ and subsequently recorded with the layered opulence and precision of celestial arrangements by her partner and producer, Jeff Lipstein in Woodstock, NY. The album was mastered by Chris Gehringer (Lana Del Ray, Rosalia, St. Vincent) at Sterling Sound.

Ensemble Theatre has revealed the lineup for its 2024 season, with everything from fresh new comedy, insightful dramas, musical influences and re-imagined classics. Ariana Delawari is an Afghan-American musician, activist and filmmaker. Her film We Came Home (2013) documents her family, her travels to and from Afghanistan over a ten year period, in which Delawari recorded her first album. That album, Lion of Panjshir, was released on David Lynch’s record label to great acclaim.

Until the Ribbon Breaks continues to peel back the layers of his exciting new musical era with the richly atmospheric and moody new single “Red Skies” featuring Columbian rising star La Pardo. Recorded at the hallowed Joshua Tree studio Escape, and in Bogotá, Columbia, the song was initially the direct result of the day’s unexpected events.

The title of the album can be found in David Lynch’s classic 2001 film ‘Mulholland Drive’. It’s a line spoken by one of the two men having a conversation in that movie’s incongruous diner scene. PÆRISH vocalist/guitarist Mathias Court was watching the movie for maybe the tenth time last year, and that line stood out to him like it never had before.

Hart's illustrious musical career took flight in 2003 when she entered electropop scene as a member of Au Revoir Simone.
