The Seattle-based non-profit Melodic Caring Project (www.melodiccaring.org) has been bringing personalized live music performances by a wide range of touring artists directly to the hospital beds of sick children in isolation or quarantine since 2011. With the COVID-19 pandemic putting live concerts on an indefinite hold, the 501c3 charity has been reaching out to an army of music artists, many participants in previous MCP streaming events, to help them create original content to deliver to their community and beyond.

The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. Preceding the 62nd Annual GRAMMY AWARDS telecast, the Premiere Ceremony was hosted by two-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Imogen Heap and featured a number of performances by current GRAMMY nominees. Performers included classical violinist Nicola Benedetti, jazz legend Chick Corea, folk music supergroup I'm With Her, West African sensation Angélique Kidjo and Best New Artist nominee Yola.

LOCKN' has announced an extraordinary initial lineup for the upcoming special edition of the beloved camping festival. Set for June 19-21, 2020, the 8th annual LOCKN' will be an all-star celebration of Phil Lesh's upcoming 80th birthday, taking place as always at Infinity Downs & Oak Ridge Farm, LOCKN's 387-acre property located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Arrington, VA. With Labor Day 2019 just behind us, famed rock photographer Jay Blakesberg announces the release of his latest photographic endeavor, JERRY GARCIA: Secret Space of Dreams – a fine art, hardcover photography book of Jerry Garcia, beginning from the middle of his career with the Grateful Dead and covering the last third of his life.

Front and Center, the critically acclaimed concert series that kicked off its ninth season last month, announced that popular indie folk band The Head and The Heart is featured in its next episode on public television (check local listings). 

Each year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors rock music's pioneering figures during a prestigious, black-tie ceremony. As the Hall of Fame enters its third decade, it's these extraordinary induction ceremonies -- featuring the biggest names in classic rock from the '60s, '70s and '80s - that have become nearly as epic as the artists they celebrate. On September 6, Time Life and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame give home audiences front row seats to the unforgettable ceremonies from 2010-2017 with the 11-disc collector's set ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME: IN CONCERT.

Harnessing Mozart's innovative spirit as its inspiration, the Mostly Mozart Festival (July 10a?"August 10) continues this month with groundbreaking, international, and multidisciplinary productions; acclaimed artists of all genres; introductions to emerging creative voices; and the presentation of new works and ideas.

Future IDs at Alcatraz, a yearlong project, exhibition, and series of monthly public programs on view in the New Industries Building on Alcatraz Island until October 2019, brings attention to criminal justice reform efforts and second chances. The exhibition encourages the viewer to reevaluate ideas about rehabilitation, reentry, and reintegration, which features ID inspired artwork created by individuals who have a conviction history as they conceive and develop a vision for a future self.
