The Skivvies brought their holiday best to Joe's Pub on December 2, with their show 'I Touch My Elf.' The show featured special guests Sierra Boggess, Alice Ripley, Nick Adams, Wesley Taylor, Nathan Lee Graham, Claybourne Elder, Travis Kent, Natalie Joy Johnson, Juson Williams, and Mike Viruet.

A Newer World, an original musical based on the Harvard Scandal of 1920, with a book by Grammy Award nominee Jonathan Sheffer, and score by Sheffer and acclaimed producer and songwriter Bruce Roberts [Barbra Streisand/Donna Summer duet 'No More Tears (Enough is Enough)'], will have an invitation-only reading on Thursday, December 6 at Pearl Studios, 500 8th Avenue. With direction by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Pretty Woman), the reading will feature musical direction by Will Van Dyke (Pretty Woman).

Second Stage Theater, now celebrating its 40th Anniversary, just hosted their Fall Benefit yesterday at Terminal 5 (610 West 56th Street), honoring Tony Award winner and Second Stage Theater alum Harvey Fierstein. The evening featured performances and appearances by Cyndi Lauper, Billy Porter, Rosie O'Donnell, Annaleigh Ashford, Keala Settle, Wayne Brady, Christopher Sieber, Michael Urie and Marissa Jaret Winokur and the original Hairspray Dynamites.

Abingdon Theatre Company held their special one-night-only gala event on Monday, October 22 at The Edison Ballroom. The evening, honoring two-time Tony Award winner Donna Murphy (Hello, Dolly!; Passion; Wonderful Town), was hosted by Randy Rainbow.

Abingdon Theatre Company isn't one to shy away from grandiosity. Sure, the 26-year-old grassroots theatre company may pride itself on its daring, intimate productions, but that doesn't mean they don't know how to throw a party, repeatedly pulling out all the stops at their annual anniversary bash. MTH is excited to welcome Corey Cott for his solo show AN EVENING WITH COREY COTT; Monday, September 24 at 7pm. Most recently Corey originated the role of Donny Novitski and received critical acclaim for his performance in the Tony Award winning musical Bandstand. Previous roles include two years starring as Jack Kelly in Disney's Newsies, his Broadway debut, which was immediately followed by the Broadway revival of Gigi starring opposite Vanessa Hudgens. Corey's solo show includes songs and stories from his Broadway career as well as a few surprises!
