Broadway at The National will present a nine-show 2022/2023 season this summer at D.C.’s National Theatre. The six-show Broadway at The National subscription series kicks off in July of 2022 and is set to include SIX, THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, JAGGED LITTLE PILL, ALADDIN, and BEETLEJUICE. National Theatre Live broadcasts Ralph Fiennes in David Hare's new play Straight Line Crazy from the Bridge Theatre to cinemas worldwide, 26 May in the UK / Ireland, and 8 September internationally.

Joining Ralph Fiennes (Robert Moses) in the world premiere of David Hare’s Straight Line Crazy are Alisha Bailey (Mariah Heller), Samuel Barnett (Ariel Porter), David Bromley (Stamford Fergus), and more. Directed by Nicholas Hytner at The Bridge, performances are from 16 March – 18 June 2022 with opening night on 23 March 2022.

Tony Award® nominee and original Broadway cast member Jonathan Freeman will play his final performance as Jafar in Disney’s hit musical Aladdin on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Segerstrom Center for the Arts announces the casting of students from the William J. Gillespie School to perform alongside the world-renowned American Ballet Theatre dancers in the return to their annual holiday engagement.

Broadway and West End leads Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope will reprise their show-stopping turns as the American GI Jerry Mulligan and the young Parisian dancer Lise Dassin in Australia in An American In Paris, with two of the country's leading lights Cameron Holmes and Dimity Azoury from The Australian Ballet, to alternate in the lead roles.

Joel Grey has been announced as the host for the 50th annual Theater Hall of Fame for Lifetime Achievement in the American Theater induction ceremony. The ceremony will take place on November 15, 2021 at the Gershwin Theatre.

Straight Line Crazy reunites Fiennes, Hare and Hytner who previously collaborated on Beat the Devil at The Bridge in Autumn 2020.  Further casting will be announced at a later date as well as further members of the production team.  Priority booking for Straight Line Crazy opens today at 10am, with public booking opening at 10am on 12 October 2021.

Following last night's reopening, Disney's Aladdin on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre has announced that tonight's performance has been canceled due to breakthrough Covid-19 cases detected within the company.

Disney’s Aladdin will reopen on Broadway tonight at the New Amsterdam Theatre. New production photos are available, featuring the show’s new Aladdin and Jasmine, Michael Maliakel and Shoba Narayan, along with returning cast member Michael James Scott as Genie.
