Young Guv has revealed his new video and single, 'Patterns Prevail'. He explains, 'the track is a love letter written by my collaborator Aurora Shields, but dissolved into a song. As long as the patterns in the colours of a rainy summer sky mash together with a glowing streetlight continue to prevail in a bittersweet tangerine tone, so do the patterns in the musical notes of yearning and infatuation, of tenderness and chaos, rapture and combustion. Complimentary patterns of the night and day will always prevail. We are all experiencing sadness and happiness through love, and that's the balance of it. That's life, I suppose.

The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization today released the sixth music video in their YouTube Series, 'R&H Goes Pop!' The video features Ashley Park (Mean Girls, Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King and I), putting a contemporary spin on the classic tune 'Do-Re-Mi' from The Sound of Music.

Today, Young Guv shares 'Roll With Me' -- the latest single from his forthcoming album GUV I due out onRun For Cover August 2. GUV I, a collection of staggeringly poignant and infectious pop tunes, is the first volume of a two part album series -- the second sees its release later this fall. Young Guv performs this Thursday with Krimewatch and Lil Ugly Mane in part of Sound and Fury Fest at The Belasco Theater.

Dear Evan Hansen's Mike Faist has been cast as Riff of the Jets  in Fox's Steven Spielberg West Side Story film, according to Deadline. Puerto Rican singer and dancer Ana Isabelle will play Rosalia, a shark who works with Maria and Dance Moms' Maddie Ziegler has been cast as part of the Jets. They have also cast  over 40 performers set as Sharks and Jets!

Broadway's Mean Girls and Atlantic Records have released the official music video for 'I'd Rather Be Me' from the award-winning hit musical featuring Barrett Wilbert Weed, who currently performs as Janis Sarkisian in the show.  The video had its exclusive premiere yesterday via Rolling Stone, who called it both 'empowering' and 'uplifting.'  'I'd Rather Be Me' is featured on the 'Mean Girls Original Cast Recording,' out now.  The 'Mean Girls Original Cast Recording,' was produced by Jeff Richmond, Nell Benjamin, Tina Fey, Mary-Mitchell Campbell and Lorne Michaels and co-produced by Pete Ganbarg, Craig Rosen and John Clancy.
