The New York Pops announces the complete cast for its 35th Birthday Gala, Part of His World: The Songs of Alan Menkenon Monday, April 30, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, presented by The New York Pops.

Of the many great parts of the Broadway community and the performing arts community at large, perhaps the greatest is its ability to come together and provide support for one another. BROADWAY BABY MAMAS, held at Feinstein's/54 Below on March 15 little more than a week after the unthinkable tragedy involving Ruthie Ann Miles, was an incredible example of just how deep that support runs.

Kerry Butler (Audrey in the Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors), and Cheryl Freeman, Roz Ryan, Vaneese Thomas, and Lillias White (voices of the Muses in Disney's animated classic Hercules) will join The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, for its 35th Birthday Gala, Part of His World: The Songs of Alan Menken on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, presented by The New York Pops.

Following up on the success of 2015's sold-out Sinatra concert weekend, the Philly POPS will bring the magic of Ol' Blue Eyes, his Rat Pack, and collaborators including Liza Minnelli and Dinah Shore to the Kimmel Center stage for Sinatra & Friends, April 6-8.

The Women's Resource Center's 2018 Renaissance Legacy Luncheon is Tuesday, March 20, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., at The Westin Sarasota, 1175 N. Gulfstream Avenue. The annual event celebrates outstanding women or "Wonder Women" in the Sarasota community. Last night at the Minskoff Theatre, The Lion King celebrated a huge milestone- 20 years on Broadway. Creative team members Julie Taymor, Tim Rice, Garth Fagan, Lebo M., Mark Mancina, Roger Allers, and Irene Mecchi joined hundreds of alumni and others for a special performance of the show, culminating in a surprise performance by The Lion King's Tony-nominated composer Elton John.
