The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) has announced today that renowned British comedian James Veitch will host the 2019 British Academy Britannia Awards. Veitch will be joined on stage by this year's presenters – Vin Diesel, Donald Glover, Lupita Nyong'o, John C. Reilly and Kerry Washington – who will present each honoree with a newly redesigned Britannia Award created by former BAFTA Los Angeles Newcomer, Gary McMonnies.
Norman Lear To Receive Britannia Award For Excellence In Television

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) is pleased to announce that five-time EMMY®-winning television pioneer Norman Lear will receive the Britannia Award for Excellence in Television at the 2019 British Academy Britannia Awards. He joins previously announced honorees Jackie Chan, who will receive the Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment, Steve Coogan, who will receive the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy Presented by Jaguar Land Rover, Jane Fonda, who will receive the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film, Jordan Peele, who will receive the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing Presented by Cunard and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who will receive the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year.

Brothers Osborne receives four nominations, the second most nominations this year, while 11 garner three nominations eacha?"Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Scott Hendricks, Dann Huff, Greg Kurstin, Kacey Musgraves, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton and Carrie Underwood. For the night's highest honor, reigning Entertainer of the Year Keith Urban is nominated again in the category alongside Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton and Underwood.

FOX is renewing the new celebrity competition series THE MASKED SINGER, this season's #1 new series and #1 unscripted show, which captivated a massive audience of more than 17 million multi-platform viewers for its debut episode. Based on an international hit, THE MASKED SINGER features celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with full face mask to conceal his or her identity. Bob Greenblatt, who will soon bring a live staging of the musical Hair to NBC in May, will accept the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award at the 16th annual NATPE (National Association of Television Program Executives) Conference in Miami, where other honorees include Byron Allen, Mara Brock Akil, Rita Moreno, Betty White and Henry Winkler. Greenblatt recently signed off as the entertainment chairman of NBC, and seems to be focusing on producing for now.
