Theatre Tuscaloosa has been chosen to present its production of Love and Cheese Toast, by Cooper Shattuck, at Virtual AACTFest 2021, the National Community Theatre Festival, June 14-20, 2021.

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center has announced the 2021 summer season, which will be held in a hybrid format — both online and in-person. Musical Theatre students at Orange County School of the Arts and California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley will join a star-studded cast of Broadway, television and film actors for an exciting reimagined “Performing with Pros” theater event. For the first time ever, this show features a cast of 12 guest artists and 87 students.

The Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company announced today that applications for the seventeenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters are now available. Applications will be accepted from June 1 - June 30, 2021. The winner will be selected in November of 2021.

Roundabout Theatre Company and Arts for All Abilities Consortium will present a virtual theatre festival dedicated to the voices of artists with disabilities tonight, April 8 (6pm ET). The festival is space for artists to develop and share new theatre works, created and hosted by Roundabout Theatre Company and with the participation of four lead partner organizations: Actionplay, CO/LAB Theater Group, DreamStreet Theatre Company and EPIC Players.

In these days of angst, many theaters have attempted to stream various types of entertainment. The formats have been mostly musical reviews, with a few scripted musicals being attempted.

THE SPOTLIGHT SERIES, a bi-monthly livestreamed concert series created by A LITTLE NEW MUSIC will “spotlight” the music of composer/lyricist team Selda Sahin and Derek Gregor on April 6th.

Keen Co Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced new guests for upcoming evenings of the FREE event, Keen After Hours: Heidi Armbruster & Paul Niebanck, who share the distinction of working on the most Keen productions, on April 5th, joining the previously announced Nick Blaemire tonight, March 22nd followed by Dan Domingues on March 29th.

THE SPOTLIGHT SERIES, a bi-monthly live streamed concert series created by A LITTLE NEW MUSIC will “spotlight” the music of composer/lyricist team Tim Rosser and Charlie Sohne on March 23rd. The evening will be co-hosted by ALNM co-producers Luke H. Klipp and Kila Packett.

This is a musical for anyone who has ever struggled to appreciate the simple things in a complex place. With equal doses of humour and poignancy, it celebrates how individual stories combine in unexpected ways.

Back by popular demand, Ordinary Days will be available for on-demand streaming from Jan. 14 – 17. The message of Ordinary Days demonstrates that even in the most un-ordinary of times, we can still find joy, friendship and unexpected happiness in our everyday lives.

Today Keen Company announced additional guests for Keen After Hours.  George Ashiotis will be featured tonight, Monday January 11th,  followed Chisa Hutchinson and Michael Urie, among others, in coming weeks. Keen After Hours is free and open to all.  Please note: No show Monday January 18th, Martin Luther King Jr Day.
