Britain Gebhardt Biography

Britain is a New York City based performer. An Orlando native, her family moved to Wisconsin when she was nine. Eventually, she grew to accept the freezing temperatures and massive quantities of snow! Britain began singing in an elite all girls choir in the second grade and began taking acting classes with First Stage Children’s Theater in Milwaukee when she was nine. She became hooked on musical theater after seeing “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” in the fourth grade.

Britain attended the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. During college she performed with various theaters in Milwaukee during the summer. Post graduation, Britain was hired by Ogilvy & Mather in Chicago to work as an Assistant Account Executive in their promotions and advertising division.

Although this was an incredible job, Britain’s love of theater led her to leave this position and attend CAP21’s 2 Year Professional Musical Theatre training program, which she completed in May 2011. Most recent credits include The Narrator/Mysterious Man in the CAP21 Mainstage production of "Into the Woods," Queenie in Lippa's "The Wild Party" with Little Radical Theatrics, and Nurse Jane in "The Secret Garden at Astoria Performing Arts Center.
