Broadway’s uproarious new comedy about the women in charge of the man in charge of the free world, POTUS begins previews at the Shubert Theatre on Thursday, April 14, 2022, with an official Opening Night of Monday, May 9, 2022, for a limited engagement through Sunday, August 14, 2022.

A theater fixture in the Sacramento area for over 27 years, veteran director & actor, Rodger McDonald will grace the stage at the Lincoln Civic Auditorium on December 11 as the uniquely eccentric characters Sir Walter Elliot & Admiral Croft in Placer Repertory Theater’s performance of Persuasion featured at holiday event the Jane Austen Soiree.

Mientus will play the role of Larry Stohler. The cast is led by Abubakr Ali as the titular hero Grendel/Hunter Rose. Also in the cast are Brittany Allen, Julian Black Antelope, Kevin Corrigan, Emma Ho, Jaime Ray Newman, Erik Palladino and Madeline Zima.

The Music Center has named 14 Grand Prize finalists from 1,500 applicants in The Music Center’s 33rd annual Spotlight (Spotlight) program, a free nationally acclaimed arts training and scholarship program for Southern California teens. The celebration is a gala benefit for The Lee Strasberg Creative Center®, which has provided scholarships to students for 42 years. The evening will be hosted by Honorary Co-Chairs Alec Baldwin and Marlo Thomas, with Mr. Baldwin making a special award presentation to renowned teacher Geoffrey Horne. The program will also feature appearances by Ellen Burstyn, and Renée Taylor.
