Palo Alto Players announced it would reschedule its gala fundraiser (from its original April 4 date) to Sunday, May 31, 2020 in response to the continued spread of COVID-19.

Palo Alto Players, the first theatre company on the Peninsula, will hold its annual gala fundraiser on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the University Club of Palo Alto, 3277 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto. The evening titled PLAY! celebrates the inner child in all of us, featuring grown-up versions of childhood favorite cuisine and games, special performances from Palo Alto Players' local actors, and an original, completely improvised show whose title will be chosen by the audience that evening. All proceeds from the event will be used to further the company's mission of providing high quality performing arts programming to the community with exclusively local artists, and to expand the organization's community outreach initiatives. Palo Alto Players opens its 2019-20 season with the Peninsula premiere of the new American musical, BRIGHT STAR.

CMT Marquee Productions, featuring emerging artists from New York to the Bay Area and beyond, presents the Tony Award-winning classic Guys and Dolls, April 20-29. The story:  Nathan Detroit needs some serious dough to keep his 'floating crap game" afloat. When he makes a bet with high-roller Sky Masterson, his problems seem to be solved. But now these guys have to decide if they're ready to gamble on love! From the bustle of Times Square to the dance clubs of Havana, Nathan and Sky show us the great lengths to which a guy will go for his doll.

Palo Alto Players, the first theatre company on the Peninsula, announces the appointment of Elizabeth Santana as its new Managing Director. Santana succeeds Diana Berenstein, who stepped down in January after two and a half years in the role. Santana has been the company's Development Director since 2015.
