Palo Alto Players Announces 3rd Annual Gala - Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?

Palo Alto Players, the first theatre company on the Peninsula, will hold its third annual gala fundraiser on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Mitchell Park Community Center, 3700 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. The evening, entitled "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?," will include surprise entertainment from Palo Alto Players' favorite performers, special guests, and honor the Leading Players that have made a lasting impact on the organization. All proceeds from the event will be used to further the company's mission of providing high quality, performing arts programming to the community and expand the organization's community outreach initiatives. Tickets (starting at $125 before March 16th) can be purchased online at paplayers.org or by calling 650.329.0891.

"We wanted this year's gala fundraiser to be a nod to our upcoming production of The Man Who Came To Dinner, incorporating the element of surprise throughout the evening," said Managing Director Elizabeth Santana, about the gala's name choice, 'Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?' "We came together around the idea of the unexpected guest, and what fun and exciting things can happen when we bring together our great local talent, theatre audiences and donors, and community leaders for a night of celebrating and giving back to the arts in the community."

The evening begins at 6 pm with a drinks and hors d'oeuvres reception and silent auction, followed by dinner and live entertainment from Palo Alto Players' favorite performers, and an exciting live auction, featuring an array of one-of-a-kind experiences like a walk-on-role in an upcoming production and a "Pick Your Paradise" vacation package. The event will also honor long-time volunteers and supporters Connie and the late David Faussone. They will receive the Leading Player award to recognize their indelible impact on Palo Alto Players and the local theatre community. The evening culminates with the inaugural dessert dash and a special preview from an upcoming Palo Alto Players production.

Individual tickets starting at $125 (purchased before March 16th) include the performance, gourmet dining provided by Modern Taste, and drinks. Tables of 10 are also available starting at $1,250 (purchased before March 16th). Underwriting levels, which include tickets for the Gala, begin at $500. To purchase tickets or a table, or to become an underwriter, contact Managing Director Elizabeth Santana, at 650.363.8582 or at esantana@paplayers.org. All net proceeds support Palo Alto Players' five mainstage productions and community outreach programs.

The 2018 gala committee members include Tilmin Hudson, Kathy Martinelli, Linda Piccone, Susan Ron, Katie Beth Sramek, and Eugenie Watson.

Palo Alto Players is grateful for the support of these event underwriters and sponsors (as of 2/22/18): Grocery Outlet, Garden Court Hotel, Margot H. Driscoll, Mary Louise Johnson, Palo Alto Players' Board of Directors, and the City of Palo Alto.
