Directed by Daniel Spector, an authority on Shakespearean text, Othello will be presented by The Kinetic Theater Ensemble, a burgeoning new troop of talented young actors, this month at the Access Theater (380 Broadway). Preview performances will begin June 20 and the production will celebrate its opening on June 23, running through June 30. Told with genuine pathos and set to a rousing pace, this new energized cutting is a mere two hours long and gets to the heart of the domestic drama that unfolds once Iago sets his machinations in motion. This unique ensemble is ethnically diverse, young, and classically-trained.

The cast of Othello includes: Ricardo Davila, Annie Dow, Erik Gullberg, Erik Kochenberger, Laura Piccoli, Paul Pontrelli, Adam Reich, Allison Taaffe, and Chinaza Uche.

Creative Cast includes: Daniel Spector (director) most recently co-taught an acting class with Alec Baldwin and is the Assistant Director for The Classical Studio at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He is a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab and is an alumnus of the Broadway Theatre Project. He has served as the Director of Training for the New York Neo-Classical Ensemble, has served as a consultant to PBS on matters Shakespearean, and moderated Artist Talks at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music.
