The Duluth Playhouse will present THE FOREIGNER, a comedic farce by Larry Shue, originally performed at the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, running September 17-27, 2015.

All Charlie wanted was some peace and quiet, so when he arrived at a fishing lodge in Georgia, it seemed harmless enough to masquerade as a foreigner who can't speak English! Soon, he (and everyone else watching), realize that people will say the most extraordinary things when they think no one can understand them.

Winner of two Obie Awards and two Outer Critics Circle Awards as Best New American Play and Best Off-Broadway Production, THE FOREIGNER is an inspired comic romp. This comedy demonstrates what can happen when a group of devious characters must deal with a stranger who (they think) knows no English. THE FOREIGNER is both scrupulously funny and outrageously clever.

Directed by returning New York helmer:Dorothy Danner (Les Miserables 13-14 & Jesus Christ Superstar 14-15), the cast features Michael Pederson*, Cory Anderson, Cathy Berggren, Jason Scorich*, Louisa Scorich*, Jody Kujawa* and Jonathan Manchester*.

The Duluth Playhouse presents THE FOREIGNER, September 17-27, 2015, playing Thursday-Saturdays: 7:30 p.m., Sunday Matinees: 2:00 p.m. at 506 W. Michigan Street, Duluth, MN 55802.
