Northrop, College of Design, Institute for Advanced Study, and University Honors Program present a "Pop-Up Northrop: Igniting Big Ideas" event: Builders of the Universe tonight, Oct 17, 7:00 pm at the Northrop Plaza. FREE.

As part of the series Pop-Up Northrop: Igniting Big Ideas, explore the architecture of memory through a participatory public art installation, projection, and sound installation featuring live electronic music by John Keston. In collaboration with the Minneapolis Art on Wheels collective and led by adjunct instructor and artist Aaron Marx, this project explores the role of memory in public space, considers student civic engagement as a tool for artistic expression, and uses ancient tools of memory building within the context of contemporary practice, in context of the revitalization of Northrop.

PLEASE NOTE: A portion of the Northrop Plaza is under construction. The east and west stairways to the Plaza have been temporarily CLOSED. Please access Northrop Plaza the Northrop Mall ramp entrances or stairways on the south side of the Plaza.
