The hit film ZOMBIE, based on the novella by famous American author Joyce Carol Oates, continues on its roll through the film festival circuit. Bill Connington stars as the lead character, "Quentin P." At first Quentin seems just socially awkward, but then turns out to be a "normal-seeming" serial killer, who abducts innocent victims, and attempts to turn them into his "zombie" slaves. Connington has been compared to Anthony Perkins in Hitchcock's PSYCHO, in the intensity and commitment he brings to the role. ZOMBIE will screen at the Shriekfest International Film Festival in Hollywood, on Saturday, October 1st at noon, as part of the Shorts Program. The screening will take place at the famed Raleigh Studios Chapin Theaters, down the street from Paramount Studios, at 5300 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles 90038. Tickets are $8. (www.shriekfest.com) The founder and director of the festival is Denise Gossett, who has been voted one of the most important women in the Horror industry.

ZOMBIE (www.zombiethefilm.com) has been an official selection at 10 film festivals so far. The film won "Best Short Film (Horror)" at the Washington DC Independent Film Festival. It is nominated for 5 awards: Best Actor, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay, and Best Dramatic Short Film, at the Terror Film Festival in Philadelphia. It will be screened at that festival on Thursday, October 27th at 6 pm. (www.terrorfilmfestival.net) ZOMBIE has been shown at the Cleveland International Film Festival, the Boston International Film Festival, the Williamsburg International Film Festival, the Atlanta Horror Film Festival, the NYC Downtown Shorts Festival, as well as at a private industry screening at the famed Anthology Film Archives in Manhattan.

The critics have lauded Bill Connington (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1316434233) for his startlingly realistic acting in ZOMBIE. He has won numerous awards for his portrayal.

Thomas Caruso directed Bill Connington in ZOMBIE, as well as the film THE THORNHILLS OF PARK AVENUE.
Shriekfest is an international film festival and screenplay competition that receives submissions from all over the world. The festival is dedicated to bringing attention to serious filmmakers working in the horror/thriller/sci-fi genre.
