Do you love Greek tragedy but wish it was funnier, and set in the late 60's, with fabulous clothes? "Die, Mommie, Die!" by famed playwright and drag legend Charles Busch is a production from House of DeVille and features Kansas City drag legend De De DeVIlle in the title role. The production runs October 2 through October 17, 2015 at the Musical Theatre Heritage Theatre in Crown Center, Kansas City, Missouri.

This show has everything: camp, a fading Hollywood star, a bitter Hollywood mogul husband, a disenchanted daughter, a gay son, a very religious maid, a well-endowed lover, an arsenic- covered suppository, murder, another murder, an LSD trip, and an even more shocking secret revealed at the end. All in all, it's a delightful romp that takes place over a few weeks in Beverly Hills in 1967 .

A comic melodrama that evokes the 1960's "grande guignol" films that featured aging stars such as Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and Lana Turner. Ex-pop singer and movie star, Angela Andrews, is trapped in a hateful marriage with film producer Sol Sussman. Desperate to find happiness with her younger lover, an out of work TV actor, Tony Parker, Angela murders her husband with the aid of a poisoned suppository. In a plot that reflects Greek tragedy as well as Hollywood kitsch, Angela's Elektra-like daughter, Edith, convinces Angela's emotionally disturbed son, Lance, that they must avenge their father's death by killing their mother. Lance, demanding proof of Angela's crime, slips some LSD into her after-dinner coffee. Angela is plunged into a wild acid trip that reveals a surprising twist ending that has all of the Sussman family's dirty laundry aired out for once and for all.

Starring along with De De DeVille are Stasha Case, J. Will Fritz, Alisa Lynn, Jeff Smith, and Reed Uthe. Production design is by De De DeVille. Set construction is by Bill Wright, J. Patrick Inlow is the Lighting Designer and BJ Yulich is the Sound Designer. All still photography by Paul Andrews Photography. Bill Pelletier directs this production.
