A writer, living in a totalitarian state, is subjected to a rather strange interrogation in relation to a spree of child murders that have occurred nearby. The police curiously control all the elements and we wonder -- has the evidence been faked, is the writer reenacting his own fiction, or does this sadistically dark yet funny drama have something else in mind for its characters and audience?

This brilliantly written play by Martin McDonagh was awarded the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play, the New York Drama's Critic Award for Best Foreign Play and nominated for Best Play at the Tony Awards. 11 Minutes is proud to present a production of "The Pillowman" that is deliciously different from those in the last few years in Denver! NOTE: Contains adult material; under 17 requires accompaniment by a parent or guardian

"The Pillowman" features the talents of: Kevin R. Leonard, Patrick Brownson, Andrew Neary and Christian Munck.

The primary mission of 11 Minutes Theatre Company is to connect communities, including all types of artists, patrons, and students on a local, national and international level. We collaborate with various artists in multiple fields in order to create vibrant and alive performances whose energy is tangible for audiences. Our aim is to present work that has never or rarely been done in the Denver area, highlighting internationally established playwrights and the new work of regional dramatists. Our second fundamental premise is our focus on the process, and our rehearsals employ different techniques gleaned from international directors in order to create poignant and pulsating performances. The ultimate goal is create a malleable ensemble/company that can learn and grow as a group to further hone and embellish the process. Eventually, we will offer acting and improvisation classes as well as community round tables and rehearsal observation opportunities. Finally, we want to make theatre available to everyone. We are committed to keeping our ticket prices as some of the lowest in town. We support the sustainability of the environment in creative and new ways. We want to converse and dialogue with our community, have a good time and most importantly, PLAY!
