Christine Melton is a native of Philadelphia and graduate of The Theater and Communications Department of Temple University. She studied Jazz Improvisation with Ron Carter and John Hendricks. Her singing debut was with Byard Lancaster performing in Philly, France, Belgium and Jamaica. She has performed in New York with Johnny Johnson and His Swing Tones, Pianists; Rahn Burton, Frank Owens, Bertha Hope, and Rudel Drears; Voice and Guitar Duets with Kelvyn Bell and Grammy Nominee/MOBO Winner, Ronny Jordan. She has performed Opera and Original Works with Dr. Gregory Hopkins, Reggie Workman and his All-Star Big Band, and Barbara Conrad's Wagner Theater Project.
