THE DR. OZ SHOW Garners Six 2016 Daytime Emmy Awards Nominations

Today, the three-time Emmy® award-winning, critically-acclaimed and nationally-syndicated THE DR. OZ SHOW received its seventh nomination for Outstanding Informative Talk Show, host Dr. Mehmet Oz received his seventh nomination for Outstanding Talk Show Host and Director Scot Titelbaum and Associate Director Debra Mackrell received their third nomination for Outstanding Directing in a Talk Show as announced for the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy® awards. This is the seventh consecutive nomination in each category for Dr. Oz and THE DR. OZ SHOW production team led by executive producer Amy Chiaro and co-executive producers Stacy Rader and Laurie Rich. Additional nominations include Outstanding Main Title and Graphic Design, Outstanding Technical Team and Outstanding Live and Direct to Tape Sound Mixing?.

Now in its seventh season, having reached the 1000th episode milestone and having curated over 1200 landmark episodes, THE DR. OZ SHOW has changed millions of lives by teaching viewers how to make every day count. Under the direction of Chiaro, THE DR. OZ SHOW debuted in 2009 with the highest-rated Syndication launch in over a decade. Seen around the world in 118 countries, THE DR. OZ SHOW has been used as a format to create new original versions of the show in 12 countries.

During the seventh season of The Dr. Oz Show, celebrity guests such as Charlie Sheen, Big Ang, Shannon Doherty, Yolanda Foster, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and many more have opened up and shared their personal struggles and perspectives on health with Dr. Oz. This season featured exclusive interviews and never seen before moments as Dr. Oz follows Charlie Sheen chase the cure for HIV including whether or not he was taking his meds and his controversial DOCTOR WHO claimed to have cured his HIV. Dr. Oz also exclusively held the last interview with the late MOB WIVES star Big Ang, where she revealed that she had stage four brain and lung cancer.

OZ SHOW include Arianna Huffington (April 5th), Lauren Conrad (April 5th), Cameron Diaz (April 8th), Holly Robinson Peete (April 12th), Gwyneth Paltrow (April 13th), KRISTIN CAVALLARI (April 13th), Padma Lakshmi (April 14th), Gabrielle Reece (April 20th), Kenya Moore (April 21st), Maria Menounos (April 22nd) and Salt-N-Pepa (April 26th).

Episodes in April also include an interview with the courageous eight-year-old breast cancer patient who had a mastectomy. Plus, Dr. Oz's food investigations continue with what you need to know before you dine out again, what's really in your deli meat and what could be lurking in your bread basket.
