The Brick is thrilled to announce the return of Ayun Halliday, the creative force behind 2015's Fawnbook and co-founder of Theater of the Apes, our March 2017 resident artists.

Zamboni Godot is a menopausal meditation on the play where nothing happens twice.

Didi (neé Denise) and Gogo bide their time in 21 infernal landscapes ranging from the DMV to the ER, surrounded by equally isolated middle-aged women, yearning for a message from Godot to give them a sense of purpose. Will he ever reach out, or is he merely a convenient excuse that keeps them together, while holding them back?

Zamboni Godot will be running in repertory with Lunchtime by Greg Kotis at The Brick (579 Metropolitan Ave at Lorimer Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn) March 2 - 18 Tickets ($18) may be purchased online at www.bricktheater.com. Discounts available for ticket purchasers electing to see both Zamboni Godot and Lunchtime on a single day.

Theater of the Apes (producer) is an East Harlem-based company dedicated to presenting original, affordable, comic work most commercial producers would find laughable. Founded in the late 90s, the Apes managed just one credit - the original New York International Fringe Festival production of Urinetown: The Musical - prior to disappearing from view due to the exigencies of parenthood. Human see, human do: 2017 marks the Return of the Theater of the Apes. http://www.theater-of-the-apes.com/

The Brick is located at 579 Metropolitan Avenue (between Union Avenue and Lorimer Street) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on the L & G subway lines (L: Lorimer stop; G: Metropolitan stop). For more detailed directions & further information, visit http://www.bricktheater.com. The Brick and its non-profit company, The Brick Theater, Inc. were founded in September of 2002 by Robert Honeywell and Michael Gardner. Formerly an auto-body shop, a storage space and a yoga center, this brick- walled garage was completely refurbished into a state-of-the-art theater complex, with a large sprung floor and professional lighting and sound package.

Winner of THE 2009 CAFFE CINO FELLOWSHIP AWARD, The Brick is Williamsburg, Brooklyn's destination for subversive theatrical experiences. Home to the critically acclaimed premieres of Bouffon Glass Menajoree (NY IT Award Winner-Outstanding Play), Samuel & Alasdair: A Personal History of the Robot War (NY IT Award Winner-Outstanding Play), Greed: A Musical Love $tory (NY IT Award Nominee-Outstanding Musical), Red Cloud Rising, Theatre of the Arcade and Suspicious Package (NY IT Award Nominee-Outstanding Play), The Brick has hosted some of downtown theater's most innovative artists, including Target Margin Theater, New Georges, Jason Grote, Annie Baker, Young Jean Lee, The Debate Society, The Mad Ones and Thomas Bradshaw.

Theater of the Apes is a fiscally-sponsored project of Fractured Atlas
