Theater 2020 "Visions for a New Millennium" (theater2020.com) Brooklyn Heights resident professional theater company continues their popular "Hearthside Reading Series" with a FREE reading of the beloved Kaufman & Hart comedy YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU on Saturday, May 7th at 2pm.

It has just been confirmed that Kaufman's daughter Anne will attend and chat about the history of the show after the reading.

This immensely popular comedic play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart about a slightly batty New York City family, premiered on Broadway in 1936, and played for 838 performances. The play won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and was adapted for the screen as You Can't Take It with You, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director in 1938.

Join members of the award winning Theater 2020 as they celebrate Anne Kaufman's upcoming birthday with a FREE reading of the comedy gem. There will be cake!
