Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, soon to be seen on the big screen in SNOWDEN, shared a video of himself surprising weekday commuters with a drum solo performance in a Los Angeles subway.

The video is part of "Everyday, Spectacular," an initiative between Gordon-Levitt's online Production Company HitRecord and LG, asking musicians to make videos of themselves playing impromptu performances in public and upload them online.

The actor captioned his video: "I played the drums (in a subway) for our 'Everyday, Spectacular' project - now, where are all you musicians gonna play your instruments?"

His HitRecord website reads, "I want to challenge musicians, singers, dancers, and performers of any kind to go into an ordinary setting, and make a spectacular moment out of that everyday situation. You can sing, dance, play around, dress up in costumes, do any kind of extraordinary activity. These performances will be recorded from the standpoint of a passerby. So in the end, we'll have a big, vibrant, beautiful, spectacular, collaborative piece of art."
