Broadway was in an uproar last week when AT&T ran an ad on Twitter that encouraged disrespecting the theatre experience. And now, another one has popped up, which was uploaded to AT&T's YouTube channel on September 4th and is now making the rounds of social media.

In a new AT&T commercial, the company advertises its partnership with DirecTV, with the main advantage being the ability to watch whatever wherever. Even in a theatre. The commercial says, "Flip between the fight, the game, and the ballet you didn't want to go to." Watch it below and see for yourself!

Max von Essen (AN AMERICAN IN PARIS) tweeted in response to this commercial, "Dear @ATT, SERIOUSLY? http://youtu.be/3MHTwUypVnE Enough w/ these ads. Watching TV/using iPhone at the ballet/theater is disrespectful & illegal!"

Annoying Actor Friend (Twitter personality/author) tweeted, "Satire is hard. This is a great ad if @ATT & @DIRECTV's goal is for us to not watch TV on our phones. #NotMyService."

Last week's ad ran on Twitter and said, "Don't let life get between you and football." AT&T eventually removed the original tweet and responded to us here at BroadwayWorld, as well as some of its critics from Broadway and theatre community at large, writing: "The show must go on, so we removed the ad. It wasn't to be taken literally and we meant no disrespect."
