The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival (TOsketchfest) is proud to announce their second round of programming including In Conversation with Baroness Von Sketch Show, The Beaverton and The Defiant Thomas Brothers.

In Conversation with Baroness Von Sketch Show is a moderated discussion with writers and cast, including Carolyn Taylor, Meredith MacNeill, Aurora Browne and Jennifer Whalen on March 11, 2017 at the Randolph Theatre. Baroness Von Sketch Show is CBC's hit sketch comedy series, which is currently nominated for five Canadian Screen Awards. In Conversation with Baroness Von Sketch Show will revisit the most popular scenes from season one, followed by an audience Q&A.

TOsketchfest will also present The Beaverton, a staged version of The Comedy Network's satirical news series, on March 11, 2017 at the Randolph Theatre. Anchors Emma Hunter and Miguel Rivas, and correspondents Marilla Wex and Laura Cilevitz, will bring a hilarious mix of biting satire, sketch comedy and, let's be honest, Donald Trump jokes. The Beaverton is currently nominated for four Canadian Screen Awards.

Chicago-based duo The Defiant Thomas Brothers will make their Canadian debut on March 10 and 11, 2017 at The Theatre Centre. Seth Thomas and Paul Thomas, not actual brothers, are known for their unapologetic social commentary told through masterfully written sketch and hilarious song. The Defiant Thomas Brothers share the stage with Toronto's own heavyweights Vest of Friends and Elephant Empire in two premier double bills.

TOsketchfest will host over 60 sketch comedy acts from across North America, March 1-12, 2017 at The Theatre Centre, Comedy Bar, The Drake Underground and Randolph Theatre.

The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival is Canada's premier festival celebrating scripted, ensemble comedy. It's 12 days of hilarity on 5 Toronto stages featuring over 200 comedians. Since 2005 the Festival has brought sketch comedy to wider audiences with ticketed and free performances showcasing hundreds of emerging comedians and a slate of top-flight headliner acts such as Kate McKinnon, The Kids in the Hall, This is That, Michael Ian Black, Gavin Crawford, and The Irrelevant Show.
