Tim Burton may be reviving BEETLEJUICE, after all.

Sources have confirmed to The Wrap that Burton is not only involved with the rumored sequel to his 1988 film, but looking to direct, as well. The Hollywood Reporter has also confirmed that Warner Brothers has offered Burton the job. Should things come to fruition, Michael Keaton, who turned heads and stomachs as the much-loved pop culture character, is also expected to return, should Burton sign on.

Original producer the Geffen Company is likely to return, with Seth-Grahame Smith and David Katzenberg also on board.

Burton will next take on the film adaptation of Ransom Riggs' MISS PEREGRINE HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN.

Burton recently wrapped production on BIG EYES, which tells the story of Margaret and Walter Keane, whose paintings of large eyed children became one of the first mass marketed art sensations in the mid-2oth centurly - which lead to the courtroom as the two attempted to settle their assets, as well as their battle for artistic integrity. Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz star.
