There is a saying that states that one can never choose the time of one's death, but one can choose the manner on how to face it. One can choose to whine and cry about it, or one can choose to face it with courage, faith and dignity. In "Two Journeys: Father and Son Wresting Meaning and Hope through Suffering, Forgiveness, and Prayer", author Daniel C. Nelson recounts the last days of his beloved son Christopher, who while dying of Melanoma cancer was able to exhibit to others a profound sense of what it means to be truly human and Christian by the way he accepted his suffering, by the way he offered forgiveness to certain individuals in his life, and his faith in the power of prayer.

The book finds author Daniel C. Nelson providing fascinating intellectual discourse on a filial relationship that undergoes the Christian journey of trial and redemption. Readers will find experience deepened by trials of faith through the journeys of a survivor father and a son whose journey is cut short by cancer. Nelson's intertwined paths contain a clarity of thought that simplifies the complex issues involved, in them one sees an intellectual strength that thinks through pain and tragic circumstance to allow the light of understanding and redemption into the proceedings, and in his son's path are consolation, inspiration and the seeds of hope.

"Two Journeys: Father and Son Wresting Meaning and Hope through Suffering, Forgiveness, and Prayer" is powerful reading, a transcendent work of faith and life's deeper meanings that shines through with a clarity and intensity of faith through a worshipful path back to reconciliation with God's self.
