Sprout Announces December Programming Highlights:

Tuesday, December 3 - The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child Movies

· The Gruffalo - This holiday classic tells the story of a mouse in search of a nut, but along the way he is confronted by animals who want to eat him. (6 pm)
· The Guffalo's Child: A little Gruffalo ignores her father's warnings and tiptoes out into the snow in search of the Big Bad Mouse. (6:30 pm)

Saturday, Dec. 14 - Dance of the Sugar Cluck Chica (Sprout Original): This holiday, Chica wants to give her parents a special snow globe, but when the magic snow melts, Chica turns to her friends for help and learns there are many ways to give. (6 pm)

Saturday, Dec. 21 - The Snowman and The Snow Dog (U.S. Premiere): Billy lost his family dog and to make his wish for a new dog come true he builds a Snowman and a Snowdog. When the clock hits 12 they both come to life and begin their adventures together. (6 pm)

Saturday, Dec. 21 - Kindest Kid Countdown -

Kindness Counts is Sprout's prosocial campaign that teaches kids empathy and compassion within their daily lives. Each kind act submitted to Sprout adds to the Kindness Counter at SproutOnline.com/Kindness-Counts - with the goal of achieving 1 million kind acts.

· Sprout's Kindness Counts Countdown will air "kind-themed" episodes of Sprout favorites: The Chica Show, Caillou, Lazytown, Pajanimals and more.
· World premiere of Laurie Berkner's The Kindness Song
· Kindest Kid Contest: Meet the four Kindest Kid finalists in video vignettes that were shot in their hometown; The Kindest Kid will be announced live during the December 21st marathon and will be named Sprout's Chief Kindness Officer

Tuesday, Dec. 24 - Spend Christmas Eve with Sprout!

· Sprout Merry Movies Marathon: Catch holiday movie favorites, Dance of the Sugar Cluck Chica, Caillou's Holiday Movie, Barney's Christmas Star and more. (12 - 6 pm)
· Sprout's Snooze-a-Thon: Starting at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and running through 6 a.m. on Christmas, the unique non-stop/commercial free Sprout Snooze-a-Thon features various Sprout characters sleeping, helping parents encourage kids go to bed on Christmas Eve.

Monday, Dec. 30 - The Sunny Side Up Show Host Premiere: Meet Tim, the newest host of The Sunny Side Up Show, as he makes his live on-air debut.

Tuesday, Dec. 31 - Sprout's Cheer In the New Year: Nina and Star host a party with other Sprout characters to ring in the New Year.

ONLINE:

· Sprout Holiday MOMents: Capture the holidays by uploading a picture and a caption of those perfect, imperfect holiday moments with loved ones. Select photos will be uploaded to Sprout's Facebook photo gallery and Pinterest.
· Monday, December 2 - Chica's Holiday Card Maker (online game): Decorate a scene with Chica and friends and create your own holiday card. Pick your favorite Chica Show Holiday movie scene. Share your holiday card with your friends and family.
· Monday, December 2 - Chica's Sled Game (online game): It's lovely weather for a sleigh ride and Chica needs to pick up presents and deliver them to all of her friends. Take off downhill, drop off presents and collect snowflakes.
· Chica's Snow Globe Maker (iPhone and iPad app): Help Chica get in the holiday spirit by decorating the coop. Hang lights, popcorn strings, tinsel and more. Choose music then hit the switch to see your decorations come to life! Tap, swipe or shake the device to watch your snow globe come to life.
