OAKDALE, La.

Highlighting the state of the earth today, author Missy Robbins' new book "SUPERDORIGHT!: Be A Superhero! Help Save The World!" (published by Trafford Publishing), aims to help children learn to be their own type of superhero - a hero for the environment.

Robbins was inspired to write her book when she saw an uptick in severe weather and climate changes happening in the world today. She was driven to educate children about the importance of doing the right thing and forming responsible habits to safeguard the planet.

Recycling, water and energy conservation, electricity use and gardening are greatly encouraged throughout the pages of Robbins' book, to illustrate to young readers the importance of protecting the Earth and the environment.

An excerpt from "SUPERDORIGHT!":

"When you see a TV, a game system, a coffee pot, if there is a green light glowing it is on, what do you do? Do right and fix it! Turn it off! Go! SUPERDORIGHT! Remember, water is water! Plastic can hurt the world! Plastic bottles can't be recycled. Do right and fix it! Drink tap! SUPERDORIGHT!"
