Rent Celebrates Ninth Anniversary on Broadway April 29

The Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent celebrates its ninth anniversary at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre on Friday, April 29. Rent is the eighth longest running show in Broadway history with 3,749 performances (as of April 29, 2005).

On February 27, 2006, at performance number 4,098, Rent surpasses Miss Saigon to take over seventh place on the list of the longest-running shows in Broadway history.

The current cast of Rent is Karmine Alers, Mayumi Ando, Matt Caplan, Merle Dandridge, Frenchie Davis, D'Monroe, Marcus Paul James, Justin Johnston, Kelly Karbacz, Joshua Kobak, Destan Owens, Caren Lyn Manuel, Enrico Rodriguez, Nick Sanchez, and Cary Shields.

Rent plays at the Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm & 7pm.
