Earlier today, the LA Times reported that Walt Disney Studios and theater chains Regal Entertainment and AMC Entertainment were in a heated dispute over how to split ticket sales for the upcoming blockbuster IRON MAN 3, causing the two theater chains to halt the sale of advance ticket sales for the film.

According to the report, Regal had also pulled its marketing materials for the film, including standees and movie posters. Cinemark, the third-largest chain in the U.S, had also stopped ticket sales.

Regal and AMC had claimed that Disney is "seeking an excessively large take of the box office revenue -- up to 65%."

In a recent update, the LA Times is now reporting that the disupte has been settled over how to divvy up ticket sales. As a result of the new agreement, AMC has resumed selling advance tickets for the film on Fandango, an online ticketing service.
