Billboard.com reports that Neal Brennan, a comedian and co-creator of "The Dave Chappelle Show" will make his New York City theatrical debut in the new show 3 MICS.

John Legend and his producing partners Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius are on board to produce the limited engagement, beginning previews on February 23rd and officially opening March 3rd at off-Broadway's Lynn Redgrave Theater (45 Bleecker Street). The show has already had a successful run in Los Angeles.

Drew Barr will helm the show which features "Brennan alternating between three separate microphones, each giving voice to the various aspects of his life: the first microphone is marked by his sardonic take on race, gender and contemporary heroes and hypocrites; the second mic showcases his punchy wit with one-liners he's crafted over the years but couldn't find a home for; and the third stands for stories of his personal struggles, dealing with everything from depression to relationships."

Said Brennan in a statement, "To be on Broadway is a dream come true. Brando, Lansbury, Vereen... you name 'em, they played here." He continues, "Like I said, Bleecker Street is a fantastic street. There used to be a Kim's Video down there and it was wonderful."
