Manifesto Festival of Community & Culture will celebrate ten years with ten days of music, art exhibitions, dance showcases, community summits, and more across the city of Toronto from September 9 - 18, 2016.
Over the past decade Manifesto Festival of Community & Culture has become Canada's premier celebration of hip hop culture and beyond. Manifesto's multi-disciplinary, world-class festival is committed to addressing the challenges faced by young artists including systemic exclusion and under-resourcing of marginalized and racialized communities. Founded in 2007, Manifesto's mission has been to unite, inspire, and empower diverse communities of young people through arts and culture. In those ten years, thousands of talented young people have contributed to building Manifesto into an award-winning arts organization that has had a considerable impact in Toronto and beyond. Music milestones over the years have included concerts by BADBADNOTGOOD, Jay Electronica, Black Thought, Jhene Aiko, Souls of Mischief, SZA and many more.
