Author Cal Shrock shares a collection of letters which chronicle life-changing events from his past in the new book, "Letters to Laura: Story After Story of How God Touches the Lives of Everyday People-Every Day" (published by WestBow Press).

"What makes 'Letters to Laura' so appealing is that the stories are so varied that each can find in them something to identify with," Shrock says. "The stories are a collection of stuff that really happens to the human family: crises, decision challenges and failures and victories in life, among other miraculous happenings."

Shrock shares first-hand accounts of real people, doing real things, coupled with his own reflections, so as to offer fresh insight and relate lessons learned from his experiences. He emphasizes God's constant care for a faulty and frail humanity, encouraging readers to trust in God.

"God loves even the worst of us," Shrock says. "We cannot sin away His great love. Even those who run from Him, who forget Him, who insist on their own way - each are followed, and loved and cared for, regardless of attitude. But when we come back, He is still there - waiting, calling. And when we look back over our life we can begin to see that He was there all the time."
