James Daly (Next To Normal) and Michael Hughes (2013 New York City Bistro Award winner) have joined forces forces and created The DalyHughes: You're Nothing Without Me, to be presented as part of the Encore Entertainment: Cabaret Soiree tonight, October 24, 2014 at 8pm at the Toronto Centre for the Arts.

The DalyHughes: You're Nothing Without Me, the first full-length cabaret from the newly formed duo, is an evening of music, friendship and occasional competition, with special guests: Erica Peck (We Will Rock You), Alessia Lupiano (Godspell National Tour) and Alexis Gordon (winner of the Syd and Shirley Banks Prize for Emerging Artists).

The DalyHughes was formed one starry night around a crackling camp-fire in Gananoque, Ontario. Hughes claims "James and I met while working on the musical She Loves Me at the Thousand Islands Playhouse. It was pretty obvious from the start that we had a great connection, similar taste in music, and a funny way of communicating with one another. One evening the cast held an informal vote to choose a name for us: they came up with The DalyHughes. I was the sole dissenting vote of course because I thought The HughesDaly had a better ring to it...but what can you do?" Put on a show, it seems, as now The DalyHughes will be bringing their unique sense of humour and musical styling to the Toronto Centre for the Arts.

James Daly is an artist from St. John's, Newfoundland. This past May he graduated from the acting program at the National Theatre School of Canada. Since leaving Newfoundland he's appeared in The Rocky Horror Show (Sudbury Theatre Centre) and Next To Normal (Clearwater Theatre) for which he received a BroadwayWorld Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. He's also appeared as a guest star on CTV's Saving Hope and played in the orchestra for She Loves Me (Thousand Islands Playhouse) where he met the hilarious and talented, one and only Michael Hughes.

Michael Hughes is the creator and star of the internationally acclaimed, Canadian Comedy Award nominated, Mickey & Judy. For his work on Mickey & Judy, Michael was awarded the 2013 New York City Bistro Award for Outstanding Debut and received nominations for BroadwayWorld New York and BroadwayWorld Toronto Awards. A sought after cabaret and concert performer, Michael was featured on the David Foster & Friends concert tour alongside Sarah McLachlan, Earth Wind & Fire, and Chicago. His award-winning, self-titled album is available for purchase on iTunes. www.mickehughes.com
