CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted its largest audience since Jan. 23, 1994 and its sixth-largest audience since the advent of people meters in 1987, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 5.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted 6.53m viewer and a 1.6/08 in adults 25-54, on Jan. 5, 2014. CBS SUNDAYMORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program with adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - as well as viewers. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +7% in adults 25-54 (from 1.5/07) and up +8% in viewers (from 6.02m).

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +6% in viewers (5.88m from 5.54m) compared to last season.

Sunday's broadcast featured Rita Braver's report on the HISTORY and growing popularity of yoga, which included interviews with Hilaria and Alec Baldwin; Ben Tracy's profile of singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles; Mo Rocca's interview with "Captain Phillips" actor Barkhad Abdi; and Tracy Smith's sitdown with husband and wife political strategists Mary Matalin and James Carville.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
