Go-Go 50 opens The Washington Ballet's 50th Anniversary Season, celebrating both 50 years of the company and 50 years of Go-Go music. The mixed repertory program combines works by choreographers connected to TWB's history, including Blue Until June choreographed by Trey McIntyre to music by Etta James, Configurations by Choo San Goh to music by Samuel Barber, and The Art of War by Edwaard Liang to music by Michael Torke. The program also features a world premiere choreographed by Chanel DaSilva in collaboration with Washington-based Go-Go artists Black Alley, placing music and dance traditions in direct dialogue.
